Using Some New Toys for the Socrates’ Trial Album
I’ve worked with René G. Boscio on the previous two studio albums for synthesizer programming however I’m doing things a little differently for this new album titled Anthem. Rather than coming to René with all of the band tracking completed, I have decided to have the synthesizer and analog rigs play a more prominent role in conveying a different aesthetic from the previous two albums. Thus, much of the sound design has to come before the band tracks in the studio. Here is a short clip of us messing around with some sounds after I played in the bridge to a new track from the album. Lots of work to do!
