Documentary - 57 Selections, 19 Awards and Still Counting
I’m feeling so fortunate and humbled to have been able to work with so many talented people on this documentary project. This has really been a team effort that continues to raise awareness for jazz and the Los Angeles area.
Despite the unique and unfortunate circumstances including most movie theaters closed and festivals not taking place in person, our documentary has continued to gain recognition and screen online as an official selection of several film festivals. Director Alexander Craven and I have had the pleasure of participating in several online Q & A sessions and meeting many talented filmmakers and creatives. The scope of talent continues to amaze me. We are so excited to be selected and able to participate alongside these filmmakers. In September, I was able to see the film on the big screen for the first time as it was screened at the Ouray Film Festival at a small, socially distanced, and mask required event. Alexander was able to participate in a screening of the film at a drive-in event with the Valley Film Festival. I’m looking forward to sharing this film with everyone soon and hopefully under better circumstances.
